Prototype Wire Expressions Dialog Box

To access: In the diagram window or Design Browser (Design tab) of Capital Logic Designer or Capital Systems Integrator, select one or more wires and choose Prototype Expressions.

Used in Capital Logic Designer to specify prototype option expressions on prototype wires that you want to use when generating wiring in Capital Systems Integrator. In Capital Systems Integrator, you can open this dialog box in read-only mode to view the option expressions on the prototype wires.

Objects

Object	Description
Multicore	If a wire is part of a multicore, this displays the multicore name. Read-only.
Prototype Wire	The name of the wire that you want to use as a prototype. Read-only. You can click the icon to open a Information dialog box that displays both the Option Expression on the wire and the Prototype Wire Expression. You may want to do this when the option expressions are too long for the columns.
Signal	The value of the Signal property on the wire. That property is used to assign a signal to the wire. You can edit this here.
Option Expression	The option expression on the wire in the Capital Logic Designer design. Read-only.
Prototype Wire Expression	The option expression that you want applied to the wire that will be created in Capital Systems Integrator using this prototype. You can click the copy () button to copy the value from the Option Expression column into the Prototype Wire Expression column. You can edit the prototype wire expression by typing directly in the field. Alternatively, you can click the ellipsis (…) button at the row end to display the Edit Option Expression dialog box or select the row and click Edit Selected at the bottom of the dialog box to open the same Edit Option Expression dialog box.
Copy Selected	For the selected row in the table, copies the Option Expression column value into the Prototype Expression column for that row.
Edit Selected	Opens the Edit Option Expression dialog box in which you can edit the Prototype Option Expression for the currently selected row.

Usage Notes

If you hold your mouse cursor over a column header, an icon () displays. You can click that icon to filter the values displayed in that column and to manage which columns are displayed in the dialog box.
