Cross-highlighting and Validating ICD Cavity Definitions
This feature allows you to utilize the interactive connector footprint map for ICDs to cross-highlight and validate cavity definition information between pin information and its associated connector faceview symbol.
Prerequisites
The selected connector must have a corresponding symbol associated in Capital Library.
Procedure
- Select a row in the Footprint accordion. This brings up the relevant connector faceview (if one exists) as shown in Figure 1.
Figure 1. Connector Faceviews (figure not reproduced)
- Selecting a cavity on this faceview cross-highlights to the associated row in the pin table, again as shown in Figure 1, where cavity 5 is outlined in red. This also works in the opposite way, table to symbol.
- If required you can click the button to pop out the faceview into its own separate window, if a larger, more detailed view is desired, as shown in Figure 2.

The controls in the window enable you to zoom and pan around the symbol. Cross-highlighting between this view and the pin table is still supported. Additionally, if multiple views are available for the selected connector, click the < or > controls to carousel through these.
Note: This feature works with both the pin table or the device footprint.
The highlighting also works between the faceview and the pin properties accordion.
