Setting up Projects and Designs

Design Rule Checks

Design rule checks ensure connectivity and consistency across a design and diagram by identifying errors. You can run checks independently of any other activity or as part of releasing a design. The severity and frequency of the checks are set in your project preferences.

You can run checks on a single design or a build list, and you can turn them off if needed.

Releasing a design automatically runs checks and the system does not release a design if there are any errors.
