Converting an Unrestricted Port to an Automatic Reservation Port

You can convert an unrestricted port on a shared function to an automatic reservation port.

Procedure

  1. Right-click the shared function that you want to convert a port on and select Edit Shared Function.The Edit Shared Function Dialog Box displays.

  2. Select the Port Reservations tab.Note The Port Reservations tab is unavailable if there are no ports in the shared object's shared object definition and is either not displayed or unavailable if all the ports in the shared object definition are unrestricted.

  3. Select the port in the Unrestricted Ports list and click Remove.Note If you want to convert multiple ports, you can hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard and click them to select them, before clicking Remove. If you want to convert all of the ports in the shared port list, you can click Remove All without selecting any ports.

The port is added to the Automatic Reservations list.

  1. Click OK.
