Common Tasks

Tasks usable on the Attachments, Comments, and Properties tabs, and in tables, across the Capital Teamwork workflows.

Viewing Build Lists, Designs, and Issues

Prerequisite: A project containing a build list, design, or Issue is selected.

Procedure:

  1. Navigation pane → click Build Lists, Designs, or Issues workflow.
  2. Results from the selected project display below the Filter field (see also "Designs Tabs").
  3. (Build Lists and Designs only) Type dropdown → Analysis, Function, Harness, Integrator, Logic, Platform, Topology — list filters accordingly.
  4. (Optional) Type a text string in the Filter field to narrow the list.
  5. To search for specific entries: click the Search Criteria icon → Search Criteria dialog box → set dropdown conditions and attribute/property values. Tip: Additional user properties can be specified in the Configuration JSON Files.
  6. (Designs only) Click the Folder ellipsis (...) → Select Folder dialog to search a specific folder.
  7. (Issues only) Click the Container ellipsis (...) → Select Container dialog to search Issues associated with a specific design/build list — see "Associating Issues With Containers."
  8. Click Search to filter, Reset to clear, or Cancel.

Note: Search criteria persist across new Capital Teamwork sessions.

  1. Select a result to display its Details tab. Tip: If an object link displays for an Issue in the Details field, click it to view that object's attributes/properties.
  2. Click the tabs to view/edit additional information.

Filtering Tables

Filter available designs in the Select Designs dialog box and entries in: Designs (Tabular view), Attachments, Search Results tables — using filters on the table headers.

Each filter provides a dropdown of filter conditions (e.g., "Equals," "Not Equals"; default is "Contains"). Value 1 and Value 2 text fields are case-insensitive. Each filter initially shows only Condition 1; completing it reveals Condition 2. The Join Operator (AND | OR) determines how Condition 1 and Condition 2 combine.

Prerequisite: A table with Value text fields and Filter icons under the headers is displayed.

Procedure:

  1. Choose a column to filter.
  2. Type a text string in the Value field for that column — the filter applies to the table under that column header.

Using Attachments

Add, delete, download attachments (project, build list, or design), and view DRC reports in attachments.

Restriction: The Attached Data Changes Release Level Behavior must be selected on the designs/build lists to create, update, or delete attachments.

Prerequisites: Attachments tab selected; a DRC-report attachment selected to activate the Search icon.

Procedure (choose the action):

If you want to... Do the following...
View the DRC failure file in a separate browser Select the DRC failure file → click the View icon.
Download an attachment Select attachment(s) → click Download icon. Accept/Cancel the Confidentiality Disclaimer if configured (accepted once per session — see "Configuration JSON Files").
Add an attachment Click Add icon → Select Attachments dialog → Upload, browse and select the file, click Open (or drag the file onto the "Drop files here to attach them" field). Rename if needed; choose Type and Key dropdowns. Click Update.
Delete an attachment Select attachment(s) → click Delete icon → click Update.

Using Comments

Comment on Issues and designs to collaborate and resolve queries.

Prerequisite: Comments tab selected.

Procedure (choose the action):

If you want to... Do the following...
Add a comment Type the comment, format via the Edit toolbar, insert images/links → click Add.
Delete a comment or reply Click Delete on it → confirm Yes.
Edit a comment or reply Click Edit → edit text/formatting/images/links → click Add to save.
Reply to a comment or reply Click Reply → type the reply, format, insert images/links → click Add.
Resolve a comment Click Resolve → (optionally) type a resolution → click Add to close it.
Reopen a comment Click Reopen on a resolved comment → (optionally) type an update/reason → click Reopen to activate it.
Filter the comments list on designs (Designs workflow only) Click Filter icon → choose status: All / Pending / Completed. The Filtered icon indicates an active filter.

Using Properties

Edit the property list on a project, build list, design, or Issue.

Restriction: Deleting a property removes it immediately — no confirmation prompt.

Prerequisite: A project, build list, design, or Issue is displayed.

Procedure (choose the action):

If you want to... Do the following...
Add a property Properties tab → specify Name and Value → click Add icon (if properties already exist, click Add icon first, then specify Name/Value) → click Update.
Delete a property Properties tab → hover/select a property field → click Delete icon (removed immediately).
Edit a property Properties tab → edit fields as required → click Update.
