Adding a Multi-location

Wire End Component

You can add a multi-location component to two or more wire ends.

Procedure

Press Space Bar and enter Multi-Location Wire End. The Add Multi-Location Wire End Component Dialog Box is displayed.
Click the ellipsis (...) button to the right of the Wire Name field; the Select Wire Dialog Box is displayed.
Select the first wire to which the multi-location component is to be applied, and then click OK. The wire is added to the Locations grid, with the Wire Name displayed, and the two connectors or splices at which the wire is terminated displayed in the From and To fields.
Select the wire end to which the multi-location component is to be applied by selecting the box in the appropriate field.
Repeat steps 2 to 4 until all wire ends have been selected.
Click the ellipsis (...) button to the right of the Library Part field. The Part Selection Dialog Box is displayed to search for and insert a component from the library. The associated component will be displayed in the Library Part field.
Click OK. The cursor changes to .
Click the diagram in the position at which you want to place the multi-location wire end component representation.

The following component entities are displayed: The component part number

Any Name assigned to the component

Any symbol associated with the component

A wire table Note The multi-location wire end component entities listed comprise the default offering as dictated by the style set shipped with Capital Harness Designer. Both the entities displayed, and the appearance of those entities, can be modified. See also the Capital Diagram Styling User Guide.

The multi-location wire end component is added to the Harness Design Browser.
