Objects
| Object | Description |
|---|---|
| Configurator Context | Select the Teamcenter Product Configurator context from which you are importing data. |
| Revision Rule | Select the Teamcenter Product Configurator revision rule that you want to use to scope which Teamcenter objects are imported. |
| Advanced | Shows or hides the Effectivity and As on fields. These are optional settings because the revision rule would generally determine the point in time for which you are importing data. |
| Effectivity | Effectivity in Product Configurator specifies the dates on which a variability definition would be applied. This field allows you to import data that would be applied on a particular date. Click the icon to display a calendar that allows you to select the date. You can use the time field to specify a particular time on that date. Click the button to clear the date and time. See the Usage Notes below for an example of using this field in conjunction with the As on field. |
| As on | A variability definition can have multiple revisions over time in Product Configurator. You can specify that you want to import the variability definition as it was defined on a particular date. Click the icon to display a calendar that allows you to select the date. You can use the time field to specify a particular time on that date. Click the button to clear the date and time. See the Usage Notes below for an example of using this field in conjunction with the As on field. |
Usage Notes
This is an example of using the Effectivity and As on fields.
Teamcenter Product Configurator contains a variability definition that was originally created on 01/10/2018 (1 October 2018). This definition is to be applied on 12/11/2018 (12 November 2018).
This definition was revised on 15/10/2018 (15 October 2018).
You want to import the definition as it was originally created so you enter:
Effectivity 12/11/2018 (when the definition is applied)
As on 01/10/2018 (the definition as entered when it was created)
If you wanted to import the revised definition, you would enter:
Effectivity 12/11/2018 (when the definition is applied, same as above)
As on 15/10/2018 (the definition as entered when it was revised)
