Bundles with Differing Lengths

Where bundles have different lengths, the system reports this in a message box and offers you an option to Duplicate or Place the bundle, or Cancel the merge action.

Message box choice:

  • Duplicate If Bundle Contraction is turned on (see “Formboard Manager Ribbon Tab”), the process generates an alternative routing path (loop). Figure 365: Mid-Bundle Loop Figure 366: End Node Loop

If Bundle Contraction setting is switched off, The process can only create alternative routing paths (loops) if none of the bundle lengths are shortened.

If the Bundle Contraction prevents the creation of the alternative routing path (loop), a message giving details is displayed in the Output Window.

  • Place — If the bundle is a connector branch, you can place the second branch separately. Figure 367: Place
