Converting Footprints

You can convert a device connector footprint to a harness connector footprint or a harness connector footprint to a device connector footprint.

Procedure

1. Select the device for which you wish to convert the footprint from the Component Device List window and click the edit icon to access the edit mode. The Edit Device dialog box is displayed.

2. Click the > symbol in the Footprints field.

3. Select the footprint from the list displayed and click the More Options icon, then click either Convert to Device Connector or Convert to Harness Connector as appropriate.

   Note: You cannot change from a harness connector to a device connector footprint if a device connector footprint already exists. A device can have multiple harness connector footprints but only one device connector footprint.

4. The system displays a message requiring confirmation of the footprint conversion. Click Convert.

5. Click the save icon to save your updates.
