Locating Selected

Objects in Child Designs

You can select design objects in a composite design, to identify any child designs that contain the selected object and would potentially be impacted by a modification.

Prerequisites

  • Composite design containing child designs is open.

Procedure

  1. From the Workflow ribbon, click the Change Impact dropdown list () and select Change Impact - Interactive.The Change Impact - Interactive Tab is displayed in the Output window. All the child designs in the composite design are listed in the Child Designs column.

  2. Select one or more design objects to modify on the diagram or in the Harness Design Browser.Any child designs that contain the selected object and would potentially be impacted by a modification are marked with a “tick” () in the Selection location column. Note The names of the selected design objects are not displayed in the object columns on the Change Impact - Interactive tab.
