Edit Design Dialog Box

To access: Right-click a design revision in the Project Browser and select Edit.

Used to edit the attributes and properties of a design revision.

Design Details
Name	A label to identify the logical design. Read-only.
Properties	Click to access the Edit Design Properties Dialog Box to add, edit, or delete design properties.
Revision	Specifies the version of the design, permitting multiple updated versions of the same design to exist in the database. See also “Creating a Design Revision” in the Capital Project Manager User Guide. The combination of design Name and Revision must be unique within the project. The contents of this field are displayed in red if the combination is not unique within the project.
Short description	A brief description for the design. Optional.
Description	A detailed description for the design. Optional.
Release Level	The release level of the design. Mandatory. See also “Release Level” in the Capital Project Manager User Guide.
Abstraction	The level of abstraction for the design. A level of abstraction is a user-defined value that is assigned to a design and that indicates what type of design it is. For example, a top-level overview of a system could be labeled with a level of abstraction System and a more detailed schematic of the same system could be labeled with a level of abstraction Schematic. Optional. See also “Design Abstraction” in the Capital Project Manager User Guide.
Domain	If you are using domains to restrict user access to designs, click the dropdown list and select the domain to which this design belongs. Only users with access rights to the selected domain can access the design. Optional. Domains are created and associated with user accounts in Capital Access Manager. See also “Domains” in the Capital Access Manager User Guide.
Applicable Options	Only displayed if the Options project preference is selected in the “Capital Logic Designer > Module Codes, Options” section of the Preferences dialog box. See Project Preferences. Click the Applicable Options ellipsis button (...) to display the Applicable Options Dialog Box and choose which options you can apply to objects on diagrams in the design to limit the available options. If no applicable options are entered, you can apply any of the options defined for the project in Capital Project Manager to objects on the diagrams. See also Options and Option Relationships. Optional.
Applicable FM Codes	Only displayed if the Modules project preference is selected in the “Capital Logic Designer > Module Codes, Options” section of the Preferences dialog box. See Project Preferences. Click the Applicable FM Codes ellipsis button (...) to display the Applicable Functional Module Codes Dialog Box and choose which FM codes you can apply to objects on diagrams in the design. Alternatively, manually enter a comma separated list of codes. Restriction To manually enter codes that contain a comma (,) or backslash () in the name of the FM code, you must enter a backslash as an escape character to avoid conflict with the separators in the list. For example, you must enter the following text string for two FM codes named FM,1 and FM\2: FM,1, FM\2 Note The codes are displayed in the same way if you select the codes using the Applicable Functional Module Codes dialog box. See also Functional Module Codes. Optional.
Option	Only displayed if the Options project preference is selected in the “Capital Logic Designer > Module Codes, Options” section of the Preferences dialog box. See Project Preferences. The option expression that you want to apply to the whole design. Click the Option ellipsis button (...) to display the Edit Option Expression Dialog Box.
Effectivity	Only displayed if the Effectivity project preference is selected in the General section of the Preferences dialog box. See Project Preferences. The effectivity ranges that apply to the design. Click the Effectivity ellipsis button (...) to display the Edit Effectivity Dialog Box. See “Effectivity” in the Capital Project Manager User Guidefor an overview of using effectivity.
Location	The physical location in the product where the content on the diagram resides. Optional.
Function	The function that is achieved in the product through the design. Optional.
