Transforming Capital Harness Designer LD Modular and Composite

Designs

If you transform Capital Harness Designer LD data that contains modular child configurations or composite derivatives, the data is applied automatically to the Capital Harness Designer / Modular design.

Modular

Designs

In Capital Harness Designer LD, modular designs are created using Module codes to define the child harness configurations.

When a Capital Harness Designer LD modular design is transformed, any Functional Module codes and child designs are created in the Capital Harness Designer Modular design with the appropriate applicable modules assigned:

• All module codes are created on the parent design as "Project Level" Functional Module codes (FM codes).

• The FM codes are listed as "Applicable Functional Module Codes" on the parent design.

• Functional child designs are created (empty of design content) for each module code.

• The FM codes applicable to the configuration are created as "Applicable FM Codes" on the child design.

Composite

Designs

In Capital Harness Designer LD, composite designs are created using Module Configurations to define the derivatives of the design.

When a Capital Harness Designer LD composite design is transformed, any Option codes and derivatives are created in the Capital Harness Designer / Modular design with the appropriate applicable options assigned:

• The Option codes are listed as "Applicable Options" on the parent design.

• Derivative designs are created for each harness configuration.

• The Option codes applicable to the configuration are created as "Applicable Options" on the derivative design.
