Edit Group Dialog Box

To access: Click the Add attribute/property button () in the Groups Browser.

Used to specify attributes, properties, and delimiters by which to group objects in the Groups Browser.

Objects

Field	Description
Editable Attributes	Lists editable attributes. Editable attributes are attributes whose value for a particular object can be changed by dragging the object from one group to another in the Groups Browser. Select an attribute to group objects by and click Add to move it to the Entries list.
Attributes	Lists non-editable attributes. Non-editable attributes are attributes whose value for a particular object cannot be changed by dragging the object from one group to another in the Groups Browser. Select an attribute to group objects by and click Add to move it to the Entries list.
Property name	Enter the name of a property to group objects by and click Add to move it to the Entries list.
Delimiter	Specify a character or sequence of up to five characters to be used to create sub-groups when it is found in attribute/property values, and then click Add to move it to the Entries list. The delimiter is used to create sub‑groups for the attribute or property which is directly above it in the Entries list. For example, if you have three devices that have “A”, “A->B” and “A->C” as the values of property Prop1, and then you group by Prop1, the three devices will be put into separate groups. If you add “->” as a delimiter, the devices with Prop1 values “A->B” and “A->C” will be placed in sub-groups within the group “A”.
Entries	Lists the attributes, properties, and delimiters by which objects will be grouped in the Groups Browser. To remove an attribute, property, or delimiter from the list, select it and click Remove. Click Up or Down to move an attribute, property, or delimited up / down the browser tree grouping hierarchy.
