Reserving New System Parts

(BOM items)

For system parts that will be managed in the breakdown structure, you must create a Teamcenter item to match any new content you have added in the logical schematic design to ensure that all objects are captured in Teamcenter as part of the cable routing electrical flow.

You can reserve a new item under the breakdown structure using the actions in Teamcenter.

The system assigns the following properties to the object in the logical schematic design to associate the Teamcenter item with the object and track its usage back to the product in Teamcenter.

• PDM_ID

• PDM_REV

• PDM_TYPE
