Disconnecting a Conductor From a Pin

You can disconnect a conductor from a pin.

Note

If a pin has a visible representation on a diagram, such as a diamond () or circle (), it indicates that nothing is connected to the pin and there is therefore nothing that you can disconnect.

Procedure

Select the pin to disconnect a conductor from:

  • Press the space bar and enter Disconnect Selected.

  • Right-click and select Disconnect Selected.

Results

  • The conductor is disconnected from the pin and the representation of the pin is hidden on the diagram.

  • The conductor and pin do not move apart on the diagram but the pin is no longer shown as a child node of the conductor node in the Design Browser.
