Adding an Insulation Layer

You can add a layer of insulation to an insulation run, either as the run is being created, or by editing an existing run.

Procedure

  1. Access the Edit Insulation Run Dialog Box by either:Adding a new insulation run, following the procedures for Adding an Insulation Run by Specifying Bundles or Adding an Insulation Run by Specifying Start and End Nodes.

Editing an existing insulation run by right-clicking it in the Harness Design Browser and selecting Edit Insulation Run.

  1. Click the New button. The Add or Edit Insulation Layer Dialog Box is

displayed.

  1. Specify the Insulation Type for the insulation.

  2. Specify the Layer upon which this insulation is placed. You can give multiple layers the same layer number.

  3. Click OK. The Add Insulation Layer dialog box closes, and the new insulation is added to the Insulation Layers table.

  4. Click OK.

Results

  • The new layer is added to the insulation run. Note The pattern used to display the layer within the insulation run is dictated by the selected Insulation Type. See also the Capital Diagram Styling User Guide.
