3D Electrical Design Dialog Box and Field Reference
Select Platform Harnesses Dialog Box
To access: Click the Platform Harnesses icon () on the ribbon in an NX environment or on the Capital Workbench in a CATIA V5 environment.
Used to add or remove harnesses from the 3D electrical context. Harnesses remain associated with the 3D electrical context until removed.
Objects
| Object | Description |
|---|---|
| Harnesses tab | Shows the harnesses currently associated with the 3D electrical context. |
| Show Harnesses | All Associated In Assembly Navigator |
| Add Harness () | Add the selected harness to the table. |
| Search Harness () | Scan the assembly structure and add the relevant harnesses to the table. |
| Delete Harness () | Removes the harness selected in the table. |
| Harness Name | The name of the harness. |
| Item ID | Teamcenter ID |
| Item Revision | Teamcenter revision |
| Item Type | The type of the item in Teamcenter. |
| Item Revision Last Modified | The date that the revision of the item in Teamcenter was last modified.. |
| Data Set Last Modified | The date the Capital HX2ML data set was last modified in Teamcenter. |
| Status | The current status of the harness. Updates dynamically. If you select a row in the table, the icon is displayed next to the date. Click this to open the item in the Teamcenter tab in the resource bar. |
| Event log tab | Shows the history of harnesses added to or removed from the 3D electrical context. |
| Date | Date and time of the event. |
| Harness Name | The name of the harness. |
| Information | Information about whether the harness was added, updated or removed, or any errors. |
| Status | Shows whether the action completed successfully or not. Where harnesses have been added or updated, you can click the icon to save the Bridge Report. |
Usage Notes
The following statuses are used:
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Add | When a harness is added to the table, it is added at the top of the table to show that it was not previously part of the table. |
| Add waiting | Indicates the HX2ML file is currently unavailable for the recently added harness. |
| Add pending | Displayed when the Apply and Close or Apply buttons are clicked, indicating that the harness has been queued to be sent to Capital. |
| Add in progress | Displayed when synchronization with Capital is happening. |
| Add failed | Displayed if the process to add the harness fails. Hover over the status to see more information in a tooltip. |
| Update pending | Indicates that the data in Capital and Teamcenter for are not synchronized. |
| Update in progress | Indicates that synchronization is happening. |
| Update failed | Displayed if the process to synchronize the harness data fails. Hover over the status to see more information in a tooltip. |
| Delete | Indicates that the harness is marked to be removed from the table. The row is displayed in strikethrough text. |
| Delete pending | Displayed when the Apply and Close or Apply buttons are clicked, indicating that the harness has been queued to be removed from the 3D electrical context. |
| Delete in progress | Indicates that deletion is happening. |
| Delete failed | Displayed if the process to delete the harness fails. Hover over the status to see more information in a tooltip. |
| Not Found | The harness has not been found in Capital. |
| Up to date | Indicates the harness is associated with the 3D electrical context and is synchronized with Capital data. |
