Objects

Field Description
Designs Lists the build lists and design revisions that use the shared object revision being replaced in a tree. Under a build list, only the design revisions using the shared object revision are listed. Designs that belong to a domain for which you do not have read permissions are not listed. Designs that belong to a domain for which you have read but not write permissions are dimmed. Design revisions that have been released to a release level that has the Frozen Shared Objects release level behavior are not listed. If you can hover over a design revision, a tooltip displays its release level and effectivity setting (if used).
Update Not displayed for design revisions that are set to a release level that does not permit design change. (Select Up-Revision and create a new design revision if you want to swap out the shared object revision in such a design). If selected for a design revision, specifies that the shared object revision will be swapped for the new one in the design revision. If selected for a build list or design, all design revisions in the build list or design are selected automatically. You can clear individual design revisions. Note You cannot select both Update and Up-Revision.
Up-Revision If selected for a design revision, specifies that a new design revision will be created for the design revision and the shared object revision is swapped in the new design revision. If selected for a build list or design, all design revisions in the build list or design are selected automatically. You can clear individual design revisions. Specify new revision in the New Revision column for each new design revision. You can also specify a New Short Description for each new design revision. Other attributes (such as Description and Abstraction) on the new design revision are given the same values as the original design revision and the release level will be set to Draft. Note The creation of a new revision applies only to the individual design revisions. Build lists do not have revisions. You cannot select both Update and Up-Revision.
New Revision Double-click on the field to activate it and enter a revision for the new design revision. The combination of this and New Short Description must be unique. If not unique, the values are displayed in red. Mandatory if Up-Revision selected, otherwise unavailable.
New Short Description Double-click on the field to activate it and enter a short description for the new design revision. The combination of this and New Revision must be unique. If not unique, the values are displayed in red. Optional if Up-Revision selected, otherwise unavailable.
Effectivity Displays the effectivity ranges assigned to the build list or design revision. Displayed only if the project uses effectivity. Not displayed for objects in functional designs. Read-only.
