Press Space Bar and enter Delete. or

Right-click the selected entity and select Delete. or

Press the Delete key

Results

  • The splice is removed from the design and from the Harness Design Browser. The other entities that are removed or modified as a result of the deletion vary depending on whether you are deleting a primary position splice or a variant: Primary Position Splice If no other components are anchored at the splice’s structure node, this is also removed.

Any wires terminated at the deleted splice become unterminated, but they remain within the design and terminated at the other end (if applicable).

All variants of the deleted primary splice remain on the design, but are now treated as independent, non-variant splices. All variant wires created automatically when the variants were placed will remain.

Variant Position Splice Just the variant splice is removed.
