Adding a Contiguous Style

Dimension

You can place dimensions displaying the distance from a node component to its target, including the distances to additional reference nodes along the selected dimension. The additional reference node dimensions are shown in line with each other.

Procedure

  1. Press Space Bar and enter Contiguous Dimension, or press Alt+Shift+D. The cursor changes to .

  2. Hover the cursor over the first node to which you want to add the dimension. The cursor changes to and the node is highlighted.

  3. Click to select the node.

  4. In the same way, select a second and subsequent nodes for which the dimension distance should be calculated.

  5. Double-click the final node to confirm the placement. The standard dimension indicator is placed on the diagram—a single line, parallel to the bundle, joining two perpendicular lines anchored at the selected nodes. The distance between the first selected node and each of the subsequent selected nodes is displayed.Note Dimensions are updated dynamically whenever bundle lengths between the two selected nodes are modified.
