Details Pane

To access: Select a search result to display detailed routing and component information and any associated device ends or other components that share the same segment on the nodal network.

Displays tables and sections of attribute and property values.

Description

You can select search results for the following objects and components:

Cables
Devices
Segments
Nodes

Most of the fields are read-only; however, you can modify some of the fields in the Cables, Segments, and Nodes Details panes to override the default values from Capital Cable Router Admin.

Restriction

You must click the Edit switch () to lock the object and activate the editable fields. See also Locking Design Objects for Editing.

Objects

Field	Description
Cables	Details pane for selected cables.
Route Details Table	Displays rows of segments for routed or partially routed cables, and columns of the design data from NX, and the calculated percentage fill of the segment space. Used to find and delete breaks in the route and auto-route partially routed cables.
Available Routes Table	Displays rows of segments if the system identifies segments that are available to route the cable through, and columns of the design data from NX, and the calculated percentage fill of the segment space. Used to select available segments when you run “Interactive Cable Routing”.
Cable Details	Displays the design data for each cable defined in the Capital Cabling Designer design and the conditions applied by the routing project.
Cable ID	Unique identifier of the cable containing alphanumeric values.
Suffix	Cable suffix (group cables only).
System	Functional grouping of cables, for example, potable water, primary power, main door hydraulics.
Cables	Total number of cables in a group.
Group ID	Name of the cable specified as the leader of a group of cables. The number of cables in the group are displayed in parentheses. When you auto-route a group leader cable with a Group ID, the auto-router will route all the cables in the group along the same path as the leader. If you select multiple cables in a group with assigned Group IDs, all the cables with same Group ID will route along the same path. See also Cable Multipliers, Bundles, and Groups. Read‑only.
Use	Indicates whether the cable is used for power, control, degaussing or other uses as defined in the reference data.
Bundling	Indicates whether the cable is routed as a single cable or bundled with other cables. Cables can be bundled as pairs, as trefoils of 3 or 4, or as bundles of up to 5, 6, or 12. See also Cable Multipliers, Bundles, and Groups.
Module	Used to group cables together for information purposes. Modules can be registered in reference data.
Cable Type	Displays valid Cable types only. The value can only change when the cable is not routed. Restriction To avoid errors when re-importing cables with different Cable Type codes, ensure that the Approved flag is Yes in the Cable Types window in Capital Cable Router Admin. Default is Yes.
Outer Diameter (O.D.)	Outer diameter (mm) of the selected Cable Type.
Type	Cable Type as defined in the library. You can search by cable type attributes such as CSA, type, and cores.
Cores	Number of cores in the cable.
Corporate Number	Displays one or more corporate numbers specified on the Cable Type.
Segregation	Displays a single Segregation code defined on the cable.
Function	Used to group cables together for information purposes only.
Fit	Displays whether a cable is a main, local, special, or degaussing cable.
Link Reference	Displays a link between the cable record and an external data source, for example, Engineering Change Order or Document Reference URL.
Remarks	Displays specified comments used as references for Oracle wild card searches.
Conduit Required	Displays the following values to identify if the cable requires conduit, and for which parts of its route: Full On Route Part None
PS Revision & Date	Latest revision of the Pull Sheet and the date it was printed. See also Print Pull Sheet Form.
TC Revision & Date	Latest revision of the Termination Chart and the date it was printed.
Route Status	Displays the current Route Status code to identify the status of the cable in the routing workflow. See also Project Codes.
Term Status	Termination Status code of the cable.
Min / Max	Minimum and maximum lengths for the cable.
Design Length	Length of the cable determined by auto-routing.
Estimated Length	Estimated length of the cable. Not used for validation but can be used for comparison, for example, in reports.
Pulled Length	Length of the cable pulled (only populated subject to pulling progress).
Installed Length	Length of the cable installed (only populated subject to installation progress).
Cut Length	Length of cable to cut during installation. Derived from the Design Length and used as an instruction in work packages.
Stop Work	Identifies whether work on the cable has been stopped or not.
Canceled	Identifies whether the cable has been canceled.
Library Details	Displays the attribute values of any part number assigned to the cable.
End Device Details	Displays the details of the devices at both ends of the cable, and options to specify near nodes and off-route lengths for unrouted cables. Note In Capital Cable Router Admin, you can use the “Show devices as well as entries” project preference on the User Defined Tab in the Project Defaults Window to include or exclude any valid device Entry IDs and X/Y/Z coordinates when the nodal network details are exported from NX. Recommended is selected. The Entry IDs are displayed in red if those Entry nodes were not defined on the device in NX or are yet to be imported into Capital Cable Router. Devices	The Details pane for selected devices.
Device Details	Displays the attributes and properties for each device, such as near nodes and X/Y/Z coordinates, from Capital Cabling Designer and the 3D design data from NX. Includes tabs to identify associated near nodes, terminals, terminal links, and connected cables as they are routed.
Segments	The Details pane for selected segments.
Segment Details	Displays the 3D design data from NX and fields to specify the following options: Blocked Fill Type Volume Fill Threshold % Weight Fill Threshold % Usable Area See also Embellishing the Nodal Network.
Segment Type Library Details	Displays the physical dimensions and “Fill Types” configured on the segment.
Cables tab	Displays cables that have been routed through the segment. Includes tabs to identify associated routed cables, devices, parent networks, and “Routing Rules”.
Nodes	The Details pane for selected nodes.
Node Details	Displays the node ID and location coordinates from NX and the option to configure as a Major or Minor node. Includes tabs to identify associated cables, devices, network, and rules.
