Add Shared Pins Dialog Box

To access: Click the New button on the Associate Pins tab in the Share Dialog Box [Devices, Connectors and Splices], or on the Pins tab or Associate Pins tab in the Edit Shared Dialog Boxes.

Used to add pins to the shared pin list when promoting an object to be shared or when editing a shared object.

Caution

In a multi-user session, the system retrieves pin availability information only when you first open the dialog box. If another user deletes pins or removes pin assignments while the dialog box is open, you must close and reopen it to see which pins are currently available.

Objects

Field	Description
Pin Name Prefix	The prefix at the start of the pin names.
Start Index	The number to start the pin names from.
No of Pins	The number of pins to add.

Usage Notes

The pin names are formed from the pin name prefix and a number. For example, if you specify a pin name prefix of P, a start index of 7 and 3 pins, pins with names P7, P8, and P9 will be added.
