Starting and Stopping the

Auto-Router

The Capital Cable Router installation includes the Auto‑Router standalone executable program, which is run on a central server to process routing requests submitted during cable routing.

You can choose to run the Auto-Router as a Windows service using third-party applications, such as AlwaysUp or your own application, to run the Auto‑Router without users logged onto the server and ensure that the Auto‑Router is permanently active. You can also run the following commands to start and stop the Auto‑Router.

Restrictions and Limitations

• If the DEBUG argument is not specified, the argument value defaults to “0” which displays a limited amount of information in the View Log Details dialog box. To display a complete list of information, specify DEBUG=1 in the command line.

Prerequisites

• The script assumes that the following variables are specified: o_pic — Name of the schema PIC user

p_core — Application owner password

db_link — Database SQL*Net connection ID

Procedure

1. To start the Auto-Router with debug specified as “1”:Copy#start daemon call login.cmd CMPIC installation folder\w_nt\bin\cmrouteversion string.exe LOGIN=%o_pic%\%p_core%%db_link% USERID=user id request=DAEMON debug=1

2. To stop the Auto-Router:Copy#stop daemon CMPIC installation folder\w_nt\bin\cmrouteversion string.exe LOGIN=%o_pic%/%p_core%%db_link% USERID=user id request=HALT
