Flip Bundles

You can use the Flip Bundles functionality to flip bundles vertically, horizontally or about a segment on both full and non-full scale diagrams.

Valid Selections for Flipping Bundles

You can select any bundle as an axis reference point, about which associated bundles are flipped, with the following exceptions:

• You cannot select an arc as a reference segment to flip. See Figure 110.

• Multi-entry connectors bundles, unless all of its connected bundles are affected. See Figure 111.

A message in the Status Bar displays information if you hover over an invalid area or object.

Invoking the Action

You can use the following methods to invoke Flip Bundles:

• Right-click the diagram canvas and select Flip Bundles > Flip Vertical/Flip Horizontal/Flip About Segment.

• Click one of the Flip Bundles buttons () displayed on the Drawing ribbon or on the Bundle Palette Dialog Box.

• To cancel the action, right-click the canvas and select Cancel, or press the Esc key.

Preview Graphics

When you hover over a valid bundle, a preview of the flipping effect on any associated bundles is displayed. The preview graphics and direction arrows display in the default Object Selection Color.

Note

The preview highlighting remains visible as you move the mouse away from the bundle. Press the Backspace button on your keyboard to remove the preview.

Flipping Direction

When flipping is active, hover the mouse over a valid bundle to display arrows to indicate the direction to apply the flip as in Figure 113.

Click a single arrow to flip only the bundles that lie in the direction of the arrow. Click the double arrow to flip all bundles in both directions.

Note

If you select a bundle that is in a loop, then the full harness is flipped.See Figure 114.

Flip Vertical

This action flips all bundles that lie in the selected direction across a horizontal axis.

This action flips bundles that lie in the selected direction across a vertical axis.

Flip About Segment

This action flips bundles that lie in the selected direction across the axis of the selected segment.
