Creating a Routing Project

You can use the Project Creation wizard to create routing projects and define the default settings, such as the number of vessels in a project.

Note

The routing project is created and configured once for the lifetime of the project; however, you can modify some settings after the initial setup.

Restrictions and Limitations

  • You must use uppercase characters only for Project Names in Capital Cable Router Admin. No special characters are supported. Using special characters may impact Exporting Cable Routes in Scheduled mode.

Procedure

  1. Double-click General administration > Project setup > Project Creation Wizard. The Project Creation wizard is displayed.

  2. Specify the following default settings to create the project in the routing database:Project ID

Project Type

Inheritance from existing Project (optional)

No. of Builds

Caution To avoid overwriting the configuration in projects created during the installation or in your existing projects, only run the scripts in the C:\CMPIC\build\ccr_config folder on new projects that do not inherit the project parameter values from an existing CCR‑enabled project.

  1. (Optional) Run the scripts in the C:\CMPIC\build\ccr_config folder on the new project only.See also “Installing the CMPIC Schema Using Cloudis Builder” in the Install Guide for Capital Cable Router.

Results
