Deleting a Connector

You can remove a connector from a harness design.

Note

You can use the extend selection function to select all connected wires and multicores for deletion at the same time. See Extending a Selection.

Procedure

Select one of the entities related to the connector to be deleted: the connector cavity table; the connector symbol; for modular connectors (housings), the position table.
Either:Press Space Bar and enter Delete.

Right-click the selected entity and select Delete.

Press the Delete key. Note Depending on Behavior settings specified at Project level, you may be prohibited from deleting certain object attributes and properties. These are displayed as read‑only.

Results

The connector is removed from the design and from the Harness Design Browser.
Wires and multicores included in any extended selection are also deleted. Note If you delete a modular connector (housing) the associated sub-connectors remain on the design.
