Converting a Waypoint to an Arc for a Multi-location Node Component

You can replace a waypoint between two adjacent segments with an arc for a multi-location node component.

Procedure

  1. Select the multi-location node component association line with the waypoint and:Right-click a bundle and select Arc > Convert Waypoint to Arc. The cursor changes to . Note The Convert waypoint to arc option is only available when the angle between the two bundles meeting at the waypoint is at least 5 degrees.

  2. Position the cursor over a bundle segment on one side of the waypoint to be converted. The cursor changes to .

  3. Click to select the bundle segment (a red circle indicates the selected position). Again, the cursor changes to .

  4. Click to select the second bundle segment on the other side of the waypoint.

  5. The system creates the arc with the radius configured in the style set.Note If the system is unable to create the arc with the style radius then the Convert Waypoint to Arc Dialog Box is displayed. Specify the arc radius manually.

  6. Click OK.

Results

  • The waypoint and a calculated length of each bundle segment are removed and replaced with an arc.
