Selecting Objects by Attribute

To search for an object in a diagram by using a value for a particular attribute or property:

Procedure

1. In the menu. with the diagram open, press Space Bar and enter Select by Attribute/Property.The Select by Attribute/Property Dialog appears.

2. Specify the following:In the Attribute/Propertyfield, enter the property or attribute name.

In the Value field, specify the value for which you are searching.

Use the Regular Expression option to specify whether the value string you entered is an exact value to be matched (unselected) or is a partial string that is part of a longer value (selected).

3. Click OK.

4. Any objects with matching values for the specified attribute or property, are selected in the diagram, and in any browser trees where they appear.
