Splice Optimization

Constraints are used to build up a set of rules that can be applied to a design for the Splice Optimization Algorithm to take into account, when automatically positioning splices.

See “Rules and Constraints” to create constraints.

The Repositionable Splice Attribute may also be set to include or exclude a splice from being processed and relocated by the splice optimization algorithm.

You typically use splice optimization where you are splicing multiple wires with the same signal together.

The common route sections of multicores and shields are not considered during the splice placement.

There is never a link to a specific connector.
