Match Project Preferences

You can specify the match criteria to determine matching pins, and generate the connectivity using the Connect By conductor action.

Restrictions and Limitations

  • If you create overlapping pins on the diagram, the Connect By conductor action will connect the overlapping pins only. To generate connections by match criteria, ensure that selected pin lists do not have overlapping pins.

Procedure

  1. Press Space Bar and enter project preferences. The Project Preferences Dialog Box is displayed.

  2. Navigate to the Capital Logic Designer > Connectivity > Connectivity Match node.

  3. Choose the pin option for mated devices and connectors:Device Pin

Connector Cavity

  1. Specify the options in the Define Match Criteria Table.

  2. Click Apply to save your preferences, and then OK, to close the dialog box.

  3. To generate the connectivity by wire or net, select the individual pins or the objects to connect:Press Shift+W (Wire) Shift+C (Net).

Press Space Bar and enter Connect By conductor.

Right-click and select Connect > By conductor.

The connectivity is generated based on the match criteria of the pins in the project preferences. Note Connectivity is auto-routed if the mode is selected on the Status Bar. See Enabling Auto-Routing.
