Designs, Diagrams and Build Lists

Projects are created in Capital Project Manager, and opened in Capital E/E Publisher. The schematic diagrams can be published for the designs within that project.

The information contained within a project is arranged into distinct 'sub-containers', called designs. Designs are version data containers and their contents can be copied as required. A design is usually created for each sub-system of a product line, and contains the schematic diagrams created in Capital Logic Designer or Capital E/E Publisher. Designs cannot be created for a project using Capital Project Manager.

A “build list” is a container for designs, representing a sub-set of a vehicle’s connectivity and topology at a single point in the design lifecycle. (In Capital E/E Publisher, you cannot change connectivity, using any tool). Any number and configuration of build lists may exist for a project.
