Devices and Connectors

Devices

A device is a component with electrical behavior that is connected to other devices by wires. The Capital software does not recognize a device as having a particular function. Devices include many different types of components such as radios, lights, and LCD screens. You can connect devices to conductors directly or using a connector as an interface.

The following sections describe how to create, add, and manage devices, including shared devices, in designs.

  • Adding a Device

  • Defining a Footprint Directly on a Device (Generative Flow)

  • Modeling Direct to Device Connections

  • Terminal Blocks
