Adding a

Connector without an Associated Library Part

You can create a connector by manually entering attributes, before placing it onto a harness design.

Procedure

  1. Press Space Bar and enter Connector. The cursor changes to .

  2. Click to place the connector:If you click a node, the connector will be placed, anchored at that node.

If you click an empty area of the design, a new structure node will be created at which to anchor the connector.

The Add Connector Dialog Box is displayed. Note If you press Ctrl when you click to place the component, the Add Connector dialog box does not display.

  1. Specify the Number Of Cavities.

  2. Click OK. The connector is placed onto the design. The following connector entities are displayed:Any Name assigned to the connector

A connector cavity table Note The connector entities listed comprise the default offering as dictated by the style set shipped with Capital Harness Designer. Both the entities displayed, and the appearance of those entities, can be modified. See also the Diagram styling User Guide.

Results

  • The connector is added to the Harness Design Browser.
