Manually Merging Bundles

You can join two bundles together as a single bundle, removing the structure node that previously separated the individual bundles.

Procedure

  1. Select the node separating the bundles to be merged.

  2. Either:Click Actions

Bundle > Merge Bundles from the menu.

Right-click the node and select Merge Bundles.

Results

The following actions are performed:

  • The structure node is deleted from both the diagram and the Harness Design Browser.

  • The structure node on the diagram is replaced with a grip point.

  • The lower-numbered of the two bundles is deleted from the Harness Design browser, leaving the full extent of the new, single bundle with the name of the higher-numbered bundle (for example, a bundle created by merging bundles 101 and 102 will be named 102).

  • The lengths of the two bundles are added and displayed as the new bundle length.
