Associating a Comment Symbol With a Multicore or Overbraid Indicator
You can add a comment symbol to a diagram and associate it with a multicore or overbraid indicator. If the indicator is moved, the comment symbol moves to maintain its position relative to the indicator.
Note
In addition to associating a comment symbol from a symbol library with an indicator, you can associate graphical objects created on the diagram. You do this by clicking the indicator before drawing a graphic. See the individual task flows in “Graphic Drawing Tools” in the Capital Design Tools - Common Functions User Guide.
Prerequisites
- The comment symbol must exist in the symbol library. See “Creating a New Symbol” in the Capital Symbol Designer User Guide.
Procedure
Right-click the indicator on the diagram and select Add Comment Symbol. The Symbol Selection Dialog Box is displayed.
Select the comment symbol and click OK.The comment symbol is displayed next to the cursor.
Click to place the comment symbol.
Results
- The symbol added to the diagram and associated with the indicator.
Note
The association will be lost if the indicator is toggled. See Toggling Multicore and Overbraid Indicators.
