Unmerging Placed or Merged

Content

At any point during the merge process, you can unmerge merged content.

Procedure

There are various ways you can unmerge content:

If you want to...	Do the following...
Select bundles on the merged design to be unmerged.	Click the Unmerge Formboard Manager ribbon action (use Shift+Unmerge to start the action in continuous mode). Click the required bundle on the merged design. The Unmerge Dialog Box displays asking which member design content you want to unmerge. Select the required member design and click OK. Alternatively you can: Right-click the required bundle on the merged design and choose Unmerge the selected object. The Unmerge Dialog Box displays asking which member design content you want to unmerge. Select the required member design and click OK.
Select bundles on the member design to be unmerged	Click the Unmerge Formboard Manager ribbon action (use Shift+Unmerge to start the action in continuous mode). Click the required bundle on the required member design.
Unmerge all content of a member design	Right click the harness in the merged design and choose Select Harness. Click the Unmerge Formboard Manager ribbon action. The Unmerge Dialog Box displays asking which member design content you want to unmerge. Select the required member design and click OK.

Results

• The selected content is automatically unmerged.

• The content highlighting colors are reset. See Merged or Combined Content Color Display for information about how the process highlights content on member and merged designs throughout the merge process.
