High-Level Flow for Creating ICDs in Capital Devices

Particular steps form a recommended, high-level flow for creating ICDs using Capital Devices.

Procedure

  1. Configure user access to Capital Devices by setting relevant permissions in Capital User.
  2. Open the Component Library. See "Accessing the Component Library".
  3. Create and manage the devices which will be used when specifying ICDs. See "Creating a Device" and "Editing a Device".
  4. Add pins and specify footprint information on library devices. See "Adding a Pin to a Device" and "Adding a Harness Connector or Device Connector Footprint to a Device".
  5. Specify the usage of the device in a particular context by creating and managing ICDs. See "Creating an Interface Control Document (ICD)".
  6. Export and import ICD information. See "Exporting ICD Data" and "Importing ICD Data".
  7. Utilize the ICD data in Capital Logic. For further information see the Capital Logic User Guide.
