without PreventGiveaway Property

Without a PreventGiveaway property on a harness level, Capital always assumes that it can give away any option supported by that harness level. For this reason, wiring synthesis might include the harness level in a configuration that does support some of the level’s options.

Imagine a harness (Body) has two wires. one supports ABS and one is required when the vehicle does not have ABS.

There are several harness levels, some support ABS and some do not.

You expect the ABS wire to be in harness levels that support ABS and the !ABS wire to be in the other harness levels.

Capital achieves this by building harness level configurations.

Normally, configurations that do not support ABS will include only harness levels that do not support ABS (and vice versa).

Sometimes, a configuration that does not support ABS includes a harness level that supports ABS.

This is often intended (give-away).

In this case, the !ABS wire is included on a level that supports ABS because the !ABS wire is required if this configuration were built.

If this is not intended behavior, you can use a PreventGiveway property on the harness level to mark the ABS option as not to be given away on this specific level. See Preventing Option Giveaway on a Harness Level.

This forces wiring synthesis to use the level only in configurations that support ABS.
