Harness Designs

A design is the container for your engineered data representing a single, distinct harness. You can create, edit, manage, and compare harness designs and diagrams, including composite and modular harnesses.

You can also create harness designs by synchronizing electrical data from Capital Logic Designer, or by synchronizing electrical and topological data from Capital Systems Integrator.

Note

Designs created in Capital Harness Designer are compatible with Capital Harness Designer Modular. Designs created in Capital Harness Designer Modular which contain modular data cannot be opened in Capital Harness Designer.

Capital Harness Designer Modular requires a valid license to enable its functionality. Contact your Siemens representative to obtain a license.

Caution

Designs that have been modified in Capital E/E Publisher should not be used for continued design work in Capital Harness Designer or Capital Harness Designer Modular because modifications made for publication may have altered the design intent of the source design.

You should use a source version of the design that has not been modified in Capital E/E Publisher.
