Synchronizing Changes in Capital Logic Designer Designs with the
Capital Systems Integrator Design
If you make changes in an associated Capital Logic Designer design after opening the Capital Systems Integrator diagram, you can update the Capital Systems Integrator design with these changes. For example, if you have deleted a device in Capital Logic Designer, synchronizing the changes deletes the device in Capital Systems Integrator.
This action refreshes the Logical Designs Browser (Function tab) in Capital Systems Integrator.
Restrictions and Limitations
You can synchronize changes in an associated Capital Logic Designer design only when you run Capital Systems Integrator in single‑user mode.
Certain property names are reserved for specific Capital tools and cannot be preserved in topology designs following synchronization. For example, if you create and add a property name “Signal” to a wire in Capital Logic, it is not reflected in the wire properties list in the topology design when used in other restricted tools in your flow. See also Reserved Property Names in the Capital Design Tools - Common Functions User Guide.
Procedure
Press Space Bar and enter Synchronize Logical Changes.
The Sync tab in the Output Window displays the status of the synchronization and details any changes made in Capital Systems Integrator. When the synchronization is complete, the Logical Designs Browser (Function tab) is updated with the changes from the Capital Logic Designer design.
Caution
If you change the Logical Design Association in logical designs that are open in another session, the changes are not reflected in the logical designs which are already associated in the Capital Systems Integrator design.
You must click the Synchronize Logical Changes button () in the Capital Systems Integrator design to refresh the associated wiring designs that would reflect the changes applied in the other sessions.
Results
If the synchronization finds a change to a net or device that means the object is now obsolete, the device/signal or its wiring is not removed from the Capital Systems Integrator design but the Sync tab indicates that it cannot remove the signal/device:
If the system finds a change to a net that now has wiring, the signal is not removed from the design.
If the system finds a change to a net that has not yet got wiring generated, the signal is removed from the design and a message displays on the Sync tab.
If the systems finds a change to a device that is now placed, the device is not removed from the design.
If the system finds a change to a device that is not placed, the device is removed from the design and a message displays on the Sync tab.
