Aligning Spot Tape

You can position the system-created spot tape symbol relative to the reference node at which it is placed.

Note

The left or right alignment of the spot tape, relative to the node at which it is anchored, is calculated based upon the direction in which the bundle was originally drawn.This can lead to unexpected results when adjusting the aligninment, so some experimentation may be required.

The alignments you configure are updated to all diagrams in the same design.

The alignment settings are retained when you bridge data in and out.

Procedure

  1. Right-click the spot tape, either on the diagram or in the Harness Design Browser.

  2. Select Align Spot Tape > and then one of the following options:Move Left The rectangular outline showing the position of the tape relative to the node at which it is anchored moves to the left:

Move Center The tape outline is centered over the node at which it is anchored:

Move Right The rectangular outline showing the position of the tape relative to the node at which it is anchored moves to the right:
