Device Footprint Dialog Box

To access: Right-click a device that has not been assigned a library part and select Edit Device Connectors.

Used to add a device connector to a device.

Note

The Edit Device Connectors option is not available for devices that have no pins.

Objects

Object Description
Table Displays device pins and their mappings to the device connector cavities. You can filter the table using the Filter Popup.
Connector Name The name that you assign to each connector. To access a cell double‑click it or select it and press the Enter key.
Part Number The library part number of the device connector. Populated automatically when you select a library part in the Part Selection Dialog Box. Can also be copied / pasted from cell to cell.
Cavity The device connector cavity mapped to the device pin in the Pin column. Note If you have not specified a value in a cell in the Connector Name column, the border of the corresponding cell in the Cavity column is red and you cannot drag / drop the cell.
Pin The device pin mapped to the device connector cavity in the Cavity column.
Connector View The symbol for the device connector of the selected row, if one has been assigned to the library part. If more than one symbol has been assigned to the library part definition you can switch between symbols using the Symbol dropdown list.
OK Click to confirm the changes you have made. If a row in the table has red cell borders, the OK button is unavailable. Enter a Connector Name for each row with red cell borders to enable the OK button.
