Adding a Hole to a Slot

You can add a hole to a slot. A hole allows signals to be routed to the inside of a slot without passing through an actual connector. A hole is never created as a harness connector but still acts as the interface for the harness-side connection of bundles and for routing.

You can add holes to any type of slot but you must add them to a junction box slot if you are working with the Terminal Bar Design Flow.

Procedure

Right-click on the slot and choose the Add Hole option from the pop-up menu. Alternatively, click the slot, press Space Bar and enter Hole.
The hole is added to the slot and is listed below the slot in the Design Browser (Design tab).
