Placing ICDs and

Updating Devices from ICDs

You can place ICDs from the Unplaced folder on the ICD tab to add devices to the diagram or rename existing devices to match unplaced ICDs and link the ICD definition to the device instance.

See “Interface Control Documents” in the Capital Logic Designer User Guide to create, place, and update ICDs.

You can place ICD definitions to assist the creation and updates of the electrical content:

  • Rename devices in the logical schematic design to place ICDs.

  • Update electrical connections.

  • Place pins from the ICD definition.

  • Where pins and signals have been defined on the ICD definition, ghost graphics are displayed to guide the placement of devices.
