Electrical Design Flow
The source of the required devices and connectivity in the design is determined by the underlying electrical design schematics created in Capital Cabling Designer.
Tasks to create the electrical design schematics as part of the generic Marine Electrical flow (each is a leaf topic in this chapter, includes a walkthrough video):
- Synchronizing Interface Control Definitions (ICDs)
- Synchronizing the Library Data
- Capturing Design Intent in System Block Designs
- Generating Logical Schematics
- Placing ICDs and Updating Devices from ICDs
- Generating Physical Wiring
- Reserving New System Parts (BOM items)
- Defining Terminations (Optional)
- Publishing the Design and BOM
