Using Module Code Override

You can override and reset Functional or Production Module Codes relationships on specific designs. For some harnesses, it may be desirable to manage different code relationships to those defined at the project level on a specific design basis.

Procedure

  1. To enable module code override select either:Press Space Bar and enter Enable Design Override of Functional Codes.

Press Space Bar and enter Enable Design Override of Production Codes.

  1. To reset a design-specific override:Press Space Bar and enter Disable Design Override of Functional Codes.

Press Space Bar and enter Disable Design Override of Production Codes.

Note If you clear code relationships on your local design, all code relationships for that design will revert back to those specified at project level, and the local settings are deleted.

Examples

In a main harness, left-hand drive (LHD) and right-hand drive (RHD) codes would be mutually exclusive on all modules, whereas on the common rear harness, LHD and RHD wiring may exist together in some modules. The Module Code Override action creates a design specific version of the code manager, which allows the code relationships to be different to those defined at the project level.

In the example, it supports the presence of both LHD and RHD content on the common rear harness by enabling the exclusive relationship between the codes to be removed on those designs, to allow correct assignation to take place.
