Example Harnesses

This section uses example harnesses to consider how you view them in Capital Systems Integrator, how they relate to each other, and how they relate to other composite data elements.

The harnesses in a design are listed under the Harnesses node of the design browser (Design tab) on the bottom left of the application window. These examples are the harnesses from an Automotive Generative project.

If you open the Vehicle Topology diagram of the Generative project and expand the Harnesses node of the Design Browser (Design tab), you see the following:

Figure 137: Example Harnesses

There are seven harnesses, each used in a different section of the vehicle: BODY, DOOR-DR, DOOR-PASS, ENGINE-LH, ENGINE-RH, IP and MIRROR.

In this starter data, each harness is styled with a different color in the diagram:

If you click a harness in the Design Browser (Design tab), it is highlighted in red in the diagram. For example, if you click the BODY harness:

For the next composite data example, see Example Harness Levels.
