Where Shield Terminations Cannot be Created

There may be cases when new shield terminations cannot be created, for instance where the original indicator to which the shield termination was connected has been split into two new multicores after conversion. As both new indicators could be equally eligible for shield termination placement, any shield terminations connected to such indicators will be ignored and a message displayed in the Output window.

In the example in Figure 107, SHIELD302 on DEV1599 connects to the indicator on MC499. On running the Nets to Wires action the indicator that SHIELD302 on DEV1599 was connected to on MC499 now spans different multicores and no shield termination is placed, as shown in Figure 108.

Instead, a warning is displayed in the Output Window advising this fact. The shield termination has to be placed manually.
