Adding a Multiple-entry
Connector
You can place a connector at which two or more bundles terminate, specifying routing information to accurately calculate wiring lengths in complex connectors such as fuse boxes.
Procedure
Place a connector onto the harness design following the steps for Adding a Connector with an Associated Library Part. On the Routes tab of the Add Connector Dialog Box, specify the Route for the node at which the connector is placed.
Either:Place a new bundle following the steps for Adding a Static Bundle or Adding a Dynamic Bundle, moving the cursor towards the placed connector, but refer to Step 3 before confirming the placement of the terminating node.
Select the terminating node of an existing bundle and drag it towards the placed connector.
As the cursor approaches the connector, a bounding box is displayed, anchored at the structure node at which the connector is placed, and the cursor will snap to a position within it.
Move the cursor to the required position:For a new bundle, double-click to confirm the placement of the terminating node, entering the bundle Length if the bundle is static.
For an existing bundle, release the dragged node.
- The Connector Routes Dialog Box is displayed, to specify the route by which the newly placed bundle enters the connector.
