Moving the End of an Insulation

Run

You can change the position of the start or end of an insulation run.

Procedure

  1. Right-click the node from which you want to move the end of an insulation run and select Move Insulation RunEnd. The cursor changes to and the insulation runs at the selected node are highlighted.Note If you are moving an insulation run, where multiple insulation runs are present at the selected node, you can use Ctrl+click to clear the runs that you do not want to move.

  2. Place the insulation run end at the new location:If you click a node, the end of the insulation run is placed, anchored at that node.

If you hover the cursor over a bundle, a tooltip displays the distance between the cursor position and the adjacent node in the direction of the start of the bundle. Click to place the insulation run end; the Node Position Utility Dialog Box is displayed to fine-tune the position of the reference node created to anchor the insulation run end to the bundle. Note If an insulation run end is moved from a structure node, the node will remain. If it is moved from a reference node whose only purpose is to anchor the end of the insulation run, the node is deleted, and a new reference node is created at the new position.
